Abstract: A legend refers both to a particular mode of narration and to the idea of a text that accompanies an image or a document. The legendary side of a story supposes the legend that captions it. Based on this terminological ambivalence, which has a corollary in L’Or, this article proposes to examine the paradoxes of a text that jointly constructs and demystifies the actors of the story, sublimates their fate, and documents their shortcomings, rediscovering the crazy way to unite dreams and life.
