  • Abstract: Hong Kong cinema is popular throughout the world. The territory has also been known, in recent years, for its tense political relationship with the People’s Republic of China. Its local cinema has explored these constitutional changes. Whereas the “seventh art” enables neophytes to understand the constitutional issues facing the former British colony, for the people of Hong Kong it serves as a mirror reflecting their own identity. But does Hong Kong still have its own constitutional identity?
