  • Abstract: The television series The Crown offers an entertaining glimpse into Britain’s corridors of power and how its institutions work. The episodes look at the relationship between Elizabeth II and her prime ministers. A spectacular sequence of domestic and international political crises allows us to understand the fragility of the monarchy’s foundations. The queen overcomes these crises through her ability to adapt, thereby ensuring the monarchy’s survival.
