Abstract: Science-fiction literature and film are pervaded by legal questions with their roots in very real problems. Authors offer bold analyses along with inspiring solutions. This is the case with the android. What will its legal status be? How should humans behave in front of a creation that will increasingly elude them? These are questions to which this contribution tries to sketch out answers.
