Abstract: Creating a comparative European journal, within the framework of a European Society of Comparative Literature, may seem like a challenge in a context where Eurocentrism is the major objection addressed to Comparative Literature. In addition, is there a European identity in the discipline? The link between comparative literature and Europe can only exist within the framework of a cosmopolitan Europe, open to the world, in the humanist conception of a space for dialogue and critical debate.
