Abstract: Colette dedicated thirteen first editions of her books to Claude Tilly. Who is La Femme cachée unknown to biographers and antique book dealers? This article uses a bibliophilic approach to investigate literary and journalistic circles between 1935 and 1945, and analyses these original autograph dedications. It also presents the chronicles of Claude Tilly which shed light on her relationship with Colette, by then a renowned writer who inspired a young journalist to develop her own voice.
