Abstract: "Fado de la Censure" is an undated poem by Fernando Pessoa, written in a style typical of the latter part of his life, a period marked by political commitment. The format of this poem (decimas) borrows the stylistic form of traditional Lisbon Fado. This bold choice enabled the poet to intervene in the political arena, by challenging the dictatorial regime in place at the time.
