Abstract: Corbière describes both « saint tupetu » and its « little chapel » in his poem « Saint Tupetu de Tu-pe-tu », but he does not mention the place of the strange scene he writes about. We carried investigations about this saint tu-pe-du in lower Britany : he is generally called « Diboan » or « Abibon » and his prayed for when people wish tu set a dying personn free, by recovery or death. Still, Corbière’s saint and chapel are very difficult to localize, even when another hint is taken into account, the wheel of fortune mentionned in the poem.
