Abstract: What does “Saint Tupetu de Tu-pe-tu” mean ? These strange title and poem sometimes evoque the world of lullabies (particularly with the reference to French expression “Turlutu chapeau pointu”), but they also refer to popular tales and schoolboyish songs. These references aim at removing the mystique surrounding of the religious scene which Corbière describes, in order to put poetry in the foreground.
