Abstract: This 69th issue of Cahiers staëliens takes stock of research on the work and thought of Germaine de Staël. Two conferences were recently devoted to her, in Naples and Paris, which analyzed her political thought, her relation to Europe, her conception of history, and the place of melancholy and feminine suffering in her work.
