Abstract: The political allegiance of the Ducasse family remains unknown. Few personalities or movements have referred to a political heritage of the poet of Tarbes. We found a televised recording of Jacques Duclos, who was leader of the PCF (French communist party) from 1950 to 1953 and also from Tarbes, in which he talks about his passion for Lautréamont, and indeed goes somewhat further.
