Abstract: In the letters gathered here, we follow the publishing tribulations of Ponge, who not only had to bring his oeuvre to life but also had to support his family. This correspondence reminds us that letters can be where literature is negotiated, and reveals a sometimes slightly discordant dialogue between Ponge and his publisher.
