Abstract: Studying the correspondence Ponge exchanged with Camus and Paulhan allows us to scrutinize how friendship sits at the heart of the construction of a genuine morality, closely connected with the issue of poetic creation. This article intends to grasp the shape of this demanding morality in the face of the many tensions that threaten friendship, particularly when these tensions are reassessed and reactivated, sometimes years after the original quarrel.
