This article sheds light on the origins of Ponge’s text “Fautrier à la Vallée-aux-Loups.” It discusses the role played by Paulhan in the meeting between Ponge and 224Fautrier, before moving on to study the stakes and the implications of Ponge’s interest in Fautrier’s paintings.

Pauline Flepp, « Francis Ponge et l’aventure Action »

Cet article se penche sur le parcours de Ponge à la Libération, au moment où il est directeur des pages littéraires et culturelles d’Action. À travers l’étude des pages culturelles d’Action de 1944 à 1946, des textes de Ponge écrits à cette période, et également de la correspondance, il s’agit d’étudier les ambiguïtés et les modalités d’une libération progressive à l’égard de la doxa communiste.

Pauline Flepp, “Francis Ponge and the Action adventure”

This article looks at Ponge’s activity during the Liberation, when he was director of the literary and cultural pages of Action. Studying the cultural pages of Action from 1944 to 1946, as well as the articles and correspondence Ponge wrote during this period, enables an examination of the ambiguities and the modalities of a gradual liberation vis-à-vis communist doxa.

This article reviews Ponge’s place today and the present applications of his body of work. While it is indisputably sanctified, his work remains controversial, in keeping with the debates between lyricism and literality (Gleize, Maulpoix), and more generally due to the questions it raises on political issues (Prigent, Quintane) and the definition of poetics (Beck).

Luigi Magno, « Ponge dans le paysage poétique italien de l’extrême contemporain »

Cet article revient sur la présence de Francis Ponge dans le paysage littéraire italien contemporain. Après avoir été traduit, de façon éparse, par un certain nombre de poètes dans les années 1960, Ponge suscite à nouveau l’intérêt de plusieurs écrivains en ce début de xxie siècle (Zaffarano, Inglese, Corticelli, etc.). Ce sont les formes et les enjeux de cette résurgence, spécifiques au contexte italien, qui sont ici étudiés.

Luigi Magno, “Ponge in the Italian poetic landscape of today”

This article reflects upon Francis Ponge’s presence in the contemporary Italian literary landscape. After being translated in a scattershot manner by a number of poets in the 1960s, Ponge again aroused the interest of several writers at the beginning of 226the twenty-first century (Zaffarano, Inglese, Corticelli, etc.). The forms and the stakes of this resurgence, specific to the Italian context, are studied here.

À partir d’une lecture de la correspondance inédite échangée entre Francis Ponge et Marcel Spada (1923-2014), cet article revient sur la relation d’amitié, mais aussi de collaboration intellectuelle et d’échanges artistiques entre les deux écrivains. Sont notamment éclairés le moment de la rédaction par Ponge de la préface à La Fête rouquine de Marcel Spada, et la rédaction par celui-ci du volume sur Ponge paru chez Seghers dans la collection « Poètes d’aujourd’hui ».

Michèle Gorenc, “The correspondence between Ponge and Spada. An initial review (1959–1988)”

Based on a reading of the previously unpublished correspondence exchanged between Francis Ponge and Marcel Spada (1923–2014), this article looks back on the friendship as well as the intellectual collaboration and artistic exchanges between the two writers. In particular, light is shed on Ponge’s editing of the preface to Marcel Spada’s À La Fête rouquine, and the latter’s writing of the volume on Ponge published by Seghers in the collection “Poètes d’aujourd’hui.”

Marie Doga, « Francis Ponge et ses éditeurs. Spécificités de la diffusion du travail dans la production et la diffusion des œuvres littéraires »

À partir d’une étude des correspondances de Francis Ponge avec ses éditeurs, cet article permet de saisir les différents temps sociaux de l’écrivain et ses différents territoires d’intervention pour la reconnaissance de son œuvre. Il montre également combien ces correspondances brouillent les frontières du littéraire et de l’extralittéraire, les réflexions sur le projet poétique côtoyant les développements sur les conditions matérielles d’existence.

Marie Doga, “Francis Ponge and his publishers. Characteristics of the dissemination of work in the production and distribution of literary works”

Taking a study of Francis Ponge’s correspondence with his publishers as its starting point, this article enables us to understand the writer’s different social times and the various areas he became involved in in order to gain recognition of his work. It also shows how this correspondence blurs the borders of the literary and the extraliterary, with reflections on the poetic project rubbing shoulders with developments in the material conditions of existence.
