Abstract: The proposed study aims to examine the relationships to the place of origin that may remain after migration. The study, conducted between the 14th and 18th centuries, focuses on ordinary people who are likely to be able to account for the situation of the majority. It shows that the place of reception and the place of origin are not mutually exclusive for many migrants.
