Abstract: The François-Mitterrand Médiathèque of Poitiers holds a rare et probably unique copy of the Thalassologue, ou Éclogue marine. Ensemble, quelques vers amoureux, a poetry collection published anonymously, in 1572, by the Bouchets brothers. The library catalogue, as well as the Catalogue collectif de France, attributes it to Jean de La Péruse (died nearly twenty years earlier) but the Spanish motto used as a signature in the introductory piece gives us a clue on the Nivernais poet Guillaume Le Breton.
