Abstract: In her Livre des trois vertus, Christin de Pizan urges noble ladies to involve themselves in their own financial matters: such is the conclusion of her own difficult experience. That attitude requires subtility because relationships between women and money are sensitive matters: money is a necessary evil. Christine could be considered as visionary; but many princesses were involved in financial policies at the time. Even so, her text shows a great deal of expertise and pragmatism.
