Abstract: This article provides some information on current multilingualism research in Germany, focusing on multilingualism in the individual and reporting specifically from studies conducted by the Potsdam Research Institute for Multilingualism (PRIM), which has been in existence since 2011. The aim of our studies is to use psycholinguistic and neuro-cognitive experiments to gain insights into the processes that enable successful language processing of multilingual individuals.
