Abstract: This immersion in the arcana of creation is the personal account of an experience, centered on questions of a heuristic nature: How does the biographer choose their subject? What issues should be examined in order to give an understanding of the life of an artist at the confluence of the arts? What are the methods of research and the types of sources used? How should biographers go about choosing the subject matter and the type of account they wish to give? And what relationship develops between the biographer and their subject?
