Abstract: Le Mariage de Charles Nodier, a one-act play in prose, is an unpublished work by Marguerite Henry-Rosier (1877–1962), who published a Vie de Charles Nodier with Gallimard in 1931. The author dramatizes a famous incident in Nodier’s life: just before the official ceremony, the groom was nowhere to be found. This sketch is printed here following an introduction that recalls the different versions of this incident offered by witnesses and biographers.
