Abstract: Former director of the Théâtre National Populaire, and major actor of the Rencontres de Brangues, Christian Schiaretti is invited to make an assessment. He puts into perspective his commitment in favour of an "elite theatre for all" inaugurated by Jean Vilar. He expresses his attachment to Claudel and, through him, to poetic and dramatic language. He evokes "Les langagières", which he founded. This annual event explores the tradition of language and its aspects, from the Middle Ages to the present day.
