Abstract:La Philosophie du Livre takes place in the genre of the writer’s discourse about Book, embodied at the same period by the collection Les Livrets du bibliophile of A. A. M. Stols (1926), which includes the Claudel’s text. However, Claudel’s approach is deeply original, even iconoclast: rather than the Book, he prefers the Page, rather than the Typography, the white. We will examine the different values given by Claudel to the typographic white and the way it works the body of the claudelian text.
