Abstract: These few letters Claudel wrote to the Jesuit Father Auguste Valensin set a touchy, self-conceited and probably guilty feeling man, entangled in his private affairs. We cast a glance at the secret part of his life, with Rose and Louise, and attend a rather prosaic end of The Satin Slipper.
