Abstract: Close to Mallarme, Gide and Claudel have met around 1895 by Marcel Schwob, their common friend. The two men keep relationship, initially polite and besides more and more friendly. One cannot question the true friendship that one felt for the other – in spite of many differing points of view, even opposite. The contribution relates the evolution of this Correspondence, published in 1949, and offers some unpublished documents, which are shown in annex.
