Abstract: The present paper joins Fantasia: An Algerian Cavalcade to rhizomorphic aesthetics and tries to prove that the category of rhizome describes well the key-notions of postcolonial reality (identity, language, history and memory) and the structure of the novel itself. By perfectly rendering the complexity of this reality, it helps, paradoxically, to get one’s bearings.
