Abstract: From the end of the sixteenth to the end of the seventeenth century, the artistic tradition of French poetry undergoes a renewal centered around the art of versification and reflection on language. The studies collected in this book examine the frameworks and issues involved in these treatises, highlighting the tension in them between norms, practices, and taste.
