Abstract: After an assessment of the tradition of studies of the Apocalypse in prose, there follows a discussion of the pressing questions the editor is faced with. These concern textual rapports between testimonies and the connections to be established with the cycles of illustrations accompanying the texts ; the models for the distribution of translations and commentaries ; the oppositions between Anglo-French copies and continental testimonies ; and the establishment of a traditional stemma.
