Abstract: The study of the manuscript tradition of texts providing information for pilgrims during their visit to the Holy Land allows us to assess the repercussions of concrete forms of transmission on the physiognomy of each text as well as the underlying strengths and aims of certain reorganisations and, finally, the linguistic shifts introduced by the text’s travels.
