Abstract: Frédéric Gagneux analyzes the different dimensions of Wagner’s influence on the early writings of André Suarès, leading up to his Wagner in 1899. Composed of numerous unpublished texts (poetry, novels, plays, theoretical writings), this work sheds light on the literary ambition of the young Suarès and his artistic reverie that was still under construction.
