Abstract: This article addresses the issue of the point of view in terms of the depiction of the animal in cinema. It also addresses through the figure of the donkey, the question regarding one’s relationship with the image in the depiction of alterity. Even if it is agreed that humans share the Earth with the animal and that the living conditions of humans influence the living conditions of the animal, can its gaze be however granted?
