Abstract: Based on the novel L’Étreinte by Adrien Genoudet, whose narrative and diegetic universe are enriched by a series of visual materials, we aim to examine the replay of the usual account to the seeing and the saying that the book proposes, to analyze how it allows to overturn it. Is put forward the way in which the work invests singularly the relation text-image and puts back into operation, through a relational ethics, as much the visual as the linguistic regime.
