Abstract: Relying on my analysis of a microscript by Robert Walser, I shall attempt to show how the miniature object throws into relief the notion of destruction. Firstly, the miniature is presented as an object that one seeks to preserve, and is thus opposed to the effectiveness of total destruction. But secondly, the miniature, as a fragile thing, is what is most open to change. The experience of this mode of destruction becomes exquisite.
