Abstract: In this interview, Rémi Soulié remembers his life and expresses his views on literature and philosophy. Both are approached through language which in its turn is conceived as a sign referring to a word and a world, founding and confounding nature (φύσις), myth, poem and being. In his opinion, despite the shadows, joy is a deep and often secret chant and wonder is the open door which lets it in the body and soul.
