Abstract: Cicero’s anthropological vision of time is based on a reflexive approach centered on man’s place in the universe and his relationship with nature’s time. Time nevertheless plays a determining role not only in the reflection, but also in the structure of the Ciceronian dialogues which follow in the footsteps of Socrates, who had descended the philosophy from heaven to earth. Cicero is interested in the human perception of time and in the changes which affect humans over time.
