Abstract: Drawing from the works of many authors on the subject of the imaginary, this article will highlight how the imaginary works to anchor the individual in the real world. Using this idea, taken figuratively, this work will demonstrate how the imaginary not only helps us interact with our surroundings, but also can put us in symbiosis with reality, rooting us in it and playing a significant role in our striving to persevere in existence.
