Abstract: This article analyses the baroque reason at work in Les Onze (2009) by Pierre Michon and Les Œuvres de miséricorde (2012) by Mathieu Riboulet. Based on definitions of the baroque the analysis aims to clarify some issues in terms of image, language, time and space. The fold, operation characterized by its paradoxical nature, reveals the political nature of the baroque reason and of the works studied.
