Abstract: The hypothesis that Cioran’s thinking stems from an existential mauvaise humeur is not neglectable to explain the corrosive and nihilist side of his discourse. Where else can we place this indisposition if not between the dispositions that the Ancient, starting with Hippocrates, have stated as an explaining principle of man ?
