Abstract: Jacques de Constans is a poetic model for Agrippa d’Aubigné. As friends and soldiers, they both belong to a desperate vein which, although part of a long tradition, is related to the turbulent context of religious wars. From this perspective, this article seeks to examine the way in which– in the form of the poem as well as in the images – they transfigure the lived natural space into poetic space.
