Abstract: In the Histoire universelle, the « unnatural » is equivalent to wonders which seem to occur outside the ordinary course of nature. This paper first explains the conditions in which their presence is possible, and then studies their presentation in the book VI, in comparison to works of La Popelinière, Goulart and De Thou. Extraordinary phenomena are not naturalized by Aubigné and remain, although indirectly, miracles or portents serving the Protestant cause.
