Abstract: The closure of churches during the Revolution resulted in the destruction of the musical collections of these institutions, especially in the southwestern provinces. However, the archives bear witness to the liveliness of musical creation, revealing the names of musicians, whose merits are praised beyond the region. Simple names, silent. A few very rare masterpieces have come down to us, daring in musical writing and in the search for a new expressiveness.
