Abstract: Remarque sur la révolte written at the end of World War II serves as a solid basis for the arguments Camus develops in L’Homme révolté. Studying this text is a way to go back to the origins of the revolt as defined by Camus, to take also a close look at the context in which this short essay was written and to ponder on the importance it has in L’Existence in which it was published in 1945. Could revolt have to do with existence in a metaphysical sense?
