• Abstract: The lecture that Camus delivered at the Dominican convent of the Tour-Maubourg in December 1946, deepens his dialogue with Christians. After contextualizing this contribution, we attempt to clarify the position of esteem and sympathy Camus displays as an agnostic, to make explicit his various ethical considerations and identify the insistent requests Camus addresses to the Christian world. We will reflect on what is at stake in this approach, and its reception in the postwar intellectual and religious communities.
