Abstract: Recognizing the monument-building process as a dynamic one has made it easier to virtually rebuild ancient buildings in all their original complexity. This is provided, however, that project leaders avoid focusing on technical details or unilateral or convenient interpretations, but act on the basis of cognitive protocol that provides for an in-depth knowledge of the ancient structure, backed up by specific skills.
