Abstract: This proposed publication is about the statutes of the guild of plasterers and the roofers of Avignon. It is preceded by a recreation of the route this book took as it traveled from the managers of the brotherhood to the library of Carpentras. Next the genesis and dating of this composite whole is discussed. Then the analysis turns to the professional guild of the plasterers and roofers of Avignon and its history. The overview ends with an analysis of the text of the statutes itself.
