Although Switzerland’s neutrality made it an almost natural epicenter for European pacifism, this drove the emergence of a great number of journals. Circulated within areas of influence belonging to one side or the other, these journals were largely the heartbeat of the Swiss Confederation’s intellectual vitality until the end of the 1920s.
