This article reveals a new possible source of entomological borrowings and references in Isidore Ducasse’s work, through a comparative reading of, on the one hand, the naturalistic drawings and descriptions of Émile Blanchard’s work Métamorphoses, mœurs et instincts des insectes and, on the other hand, the literary texts Les Chants de Maldoror and Poésies.
