In Baudelaire, the misogyny, pure provocation or cruel irony, announces an obsession towards the woman and denounces the attempt to elaborate a form of relation with her. So, Baudelaire’s praise of cruelty is part of a perspective according to which the “demon of perversity” acquires the dimension of a hand-to-hand with the woman, and the man is endlessly and at the same time homicide and suicide, persecutor and victim.
