The landscape of feng-shui and yin-yang in Paul Claudel’s Connaissance de l’Est An ecological approach

In Connaissance de l’Est Claudel’s aesthetics of landscape and vision of the cosmos conjugate also with his concern about ecology based on cosmic symbiosis. Feng-shui and yin-yang, offering a vision of the universe and wisdom to live in accordance with its order and harmony, play an important role there. We try to reconcile, by a new reading of some texts of Connaissance de l’Est, the traditional thoughts of Asia and contemporary ecology.
