Situer Montaigne en psychanalyse

From a lacanian perspective, this article purposes a synthesis of the memoir “Montaigne en psychanalyse”, focusing on his self-analysis aspects of Montaigne's work in the Essais. It decrypts how Montaigne faces his symptom through his effort of writing. For this purpose, the article suggests an Essais lecture using the imaginary, symbolic and real orders. It also points the therapeutic fruits of an approach which has completely reorganized the relationship between subject and representation.
